It was hard not to notice the world falling apart around us. ‘The Shattering’, they call it. Deathwing—the Black Dragon aspect and leader of the Black Dragonflight—is responsible. He emerged from Deepholm - an elemental plane far beneath the world’s surface. The only way to enter this realm… is through the Maelstrom.

A swirling whirlpool, lightning, a vicious storm… I did not want to enter it. Aggra did nothing to allay my fears as she instruct me to join her on her Wyvern. She told me what was happening down there - that upon exiting Deepholm, Deathwing shattered the World Pillar. Without the World Pillar, Deepholm could consume Azeroth. The shamans of the Earthen Ring, and Thrall—the former Horde Warchief—are trying to prevent it - channeling powerful magic, whilst the fragments required to rebuild it are obtained.

Cenarius, assisted by Hammul Runetotem and Malfurion Stormrage, approached Ragnaros at his lair in the Firelands and confronted him with force! I joined the army to banish this fiery demon whilst Yesera and the freed Ancients continued to fight the elementals and Twilight Hammer outside.

Whilst we succeeded in pushing Ragnaros back, the war still raged on outside. The ground of Mount Hyjal is scarred with burns. Twilight Hammer are still operating in the area, albeit fewer in number!, and still pose a real threat to Azeroth.

After returning from the Firelands I spoke to Commander Jarod Shadowsong, and he instructed me to join the Earthen Ring and aid in their plight - as a matter of urgency. I suppose that the Ancients and Emerald Dragonflight can hold on to Mount Hyjal in the meantime.

The four Ancient guardians of mount Hyjal have arisen once...

The four Ancient guardians of mount Hyjal have arisen once more!

Lo’gosh recaptured the nearby Horde outpost and freed the captives there. With a little help from the dying tree Ancient Nordu and Aessina we restored part of Mount Hyjal to its former glory.

Tortolla and Aviana, along with Lo’gosh, vowed to help defeat the Twilight Hammer and fend off Ragnaros and his minions.

I carry around a Stave of Fur and Claw, which transforms me into a Furbolg. I obtained it when I aided the Timbermaw Furbolgs in Felwood and Winterspring.

Mount Hyjal

I have been summoned to Mount Hyjal. It is under siege by Ragnaros and his fiery minions. I’m afraid that if something isn’t done soon, the area—which has been cut off from the rest of the world for so long—will be burnt to the ground, including Nordrassil.

I arrived at the bottom of Nordrassil, the world tree, having flown by green dragonflight, and was able to admire its beauty from the skies. Situated beneath it is the Well of Eternity - a massive source of arcane energy and magic! It is said that as long as the tree remains alive, the Night Elves will be immortal. It also allows them passage into the Emerald Dream.

I have spoken to the Ysera, the green dragon aspect, and have been charged with trying to help recapture the shrines of the Ancients in order that they aid us in protecting Mount Hyjal from destruction. Firstly, we must recapture that of the wolf God Lo’gosh…
